Biography of Emmanuel Bwacha, Education and Career
|Sen.(Dr) Emmanuel Bwacha, CON is a Nigerian lawyer and politician. He is the senator representing Taraba South Senatorial District. Sen. Bwacha was born on 15 December 1962 in Mararraba, Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State
Educational Background
Sen. Bwacha attended LEA Primary School Mararraba in Donga LGA and Mbiya Government Secondary School (MGSS) Takum where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and Seconary School Certificate respectively. He obtained Interim Joint Matriculation Examination (IJMB) from the College for Preliminary Studies, Yola before proceeding to University of Jos to study law.
Career
In 1992, Sen. Bwacha contested for the chairmanship of Donga LGA in 1992 under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and was elected.
Between 1994 and 1997, he was the State Secretary of the then People Democratic Movement (PDM), Taraba State Chapter. He was elected into the Taraba State House of Assembly to represent Donga state constituency in 1999. Bwacha was the Majority leader of the Taraba State House of Assembly.
He was also appointed the Taraba State commissioner for Agriculture from 1999-2003.
In 2003, Sen. Bwacha was elected to represent Takum, Donga, Ussa and Yangtu Development Area, in the Federal House of Representative. While in the Federal House of Representative he was appointed Chairman, House Committee on Police Affairs
In 2011, Sen. Bwacha was elected to represent Taraba South in the Nigerian Senate under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was appointed the Chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture.
In 2015, he was elected for a second term in office under the same political party. He was appointed the a Deputy Minority Leader.
In 2019, Sen. Bwacha was elected for a third term in office
Senator Bwacha was sacked as a senator for defecting to the governing APC. The Court also ordered the senator to vacate his seat as Senator
Honors
In 2012, Sen Bwacha was conferred Commander of the Order of Niger(CON) by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
In 2018, he obtained an honorary doctorate degree, Doctor of Divinity by Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN), Bukuru, Jos for his penchant for political and spiritual development.

Sen.(Dr)Emmanuel Bwacha is happily married to Mrs. Deborah Bwacha and together they have Four Children. He is a Christian
