|Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and one of the most populated countries in the world. Nigerian population is approximately over 206 million according Worldometer.
The most populated state in Nigeria is Kano state with over 13 million people as at 2016. While Lagos is the most populated state in the South West region, Ekiti State is the least populated state in the South West region.
Rivers is the most populated state in the South South region while Bayelsa is the least populated state in South South. Anambra is the most populated state in the South Eastern region while Ebonyi is the least populated state in the South East.
