Educational Background
In 1976, Jabu Mabuza was expelled from school for participating in the 1976 Student protest in Soweto. He graduated from University of Limpopo.
Career and Business
Jabu Mabuza started his career as a clerk at the then Department of Bantu Affairs in 1980. To make ends meet, he drove taxi in Daveyton and subsequently bought his own taxi.
In the 1980s, Jabu Mabuza helped founded the Foundation for African Business and Consumer Services. He subsequently became the organization’s CEO in 1990.
Jabu Mabuza was the CEO of Tsogo Sun Holdings, a South African hotel, gaming and entertainment group.
