Alhaji Ibrahim Saminu Turaki is a Nigerian politician and actuary. He was the Governor of Jigawa state from 1999 to 2007 and a senator from 2007 to 2011. Ibrahim Turaki was born on 14 July 1963 in Kazaure, Nigeria.

Ibrahim Turaki is a politician. He was the chairman of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) and United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP)

In 1999, Turaki was elected as the governor of Jigawa state under the platform of the All Nigerian People Party (ANPP). He was elected for a second term in office in 2003.
In 2006, he decamped to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While serving as governor, Ibrahim Turaki focused on ICT reforms, Trade, Electricity, education and pension reform and security.
In 2007, Ibrahim Turaki was elected to represent Jigawa North West in the Nigerian senate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While in the senate he was a member of committees on Upstream Petroleum Resources, Sports, Navy, National Planning and National Identity Card & Population.
In 2011, Ibrahim Turaki defected to Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to run for a second term in office but lost to Danladi Abdullahi Sankara of PDP.
He joined All Progressive Congress (APC) in December 2015.
