Career

Hyacinth Alia was ordained a Catholic Priest on July 7, 1990, by Bishop Athanasius Atule Usuh of Makurdi Catholic Diocese. He has served in various capacities in the Catholic Church, including as Parish Priest, Rector of St. James Minor Seminary, and Director of the Catholic Education Board of Benue State. In 2023, he contested the gubernatorial election in Benue State and was elected as the Governor-elect.
