In a turn of events, Danladi’s mandate was eventually restored after a Supreme Court ruling in his favor in November 2014. He continued his political journey by contesting and winning the 2015 elections for the Taraba North Senatorial seat under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Nonetheless, his senatorial position was short-lived as he was ousted by the Supreme Court on June 23, 2017. The court declared Alhaji Shuaibu Isa Lau as the senator to represent the constituency, ending Danladi’s term.
