Educational Background

Fela Durotoye was born to Layiwola and Adeline Durotoye, both professors at the University of Ibadan. He attended the Staff Children’s School from 1974 to 1981 and later graduated to Moremi High School from 1981 to 1986. His educational journey continued with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with Economics and a master’s degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Fela is also an alumnus of the John F. Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program at Harvard University. Fela Durotoye embarked on his career as a financial analyst at Ventures & Trusts Limited in 1992. In 1998, he held a pivotal role as the head of the customer service department at Phillips Consulting Limited. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish V.I.P Consulting Limited in 2000, which later transformed into Visible Impact Limited, focusing on customer and human management in Nigeria. Fela is known for facilitating and speaking at management and leadership retreats both within and outside Nigeria. In 2018, he delivered a significant speech at the Nigerian American Business Forum, where he shared the stage with influential figures.

Fela Durotoye ventured into politics, announcing his intention to run for the Nigerian presidency in the 2019 general elections under the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN).
