Edison Ogerenye Ehie is a Nigerian lawyer, Politician and lawmaker. He was the member representing Ahoada East II constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly. Edison Ehie was born on October 8 in Ahoada ,Rivers State to the family of Late Chief Clinton Dollars Ehie and Mrs. Salome Ehie.

Edison Ehie attended UPE Primary School and later Western Ahoada County High School, Ahoada Town.

He holds an LLB in law from the Rivers state University and a Post Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Public Administration and Petroleum law respectively.
Career
Edison Ehie started his career as a liaison officer with ZB Joint Ventures and later Ferzinat Oil and Gas Company Limited.
He joined politics and became a member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ahoada. He subsequently became the Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

In 2014, Edison Ehie picked nomination form to represent Ahoada East II constituency in the Rivers State Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He won the party primaries and was elected as a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly in the 2015 general elections. He was re-elected in the re-run in 2016.
Edison Ehie was elected for a second term and third term in office in 2019 and 2023 respectively under the PDP.
In 2023, Edison Ehie was elected as a factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the governor Sim Fubara.

In January 2024, Edison Ehie resigned as the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and subsequently as a member of the House of Assembly.
He was appointed the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State governor Sim Fubara.
Personal Life 
Edison Ehie is married with children. He is a Christian from Ekpeye tribe in Rivers state.
