Educational Background
Abba Kabir Yusuf obtained a national diploma in civil engineering from Federal Polytechnic, Mubi in 1985. He later obtained a higher national diploma in civil engineering and a certificate and specialization in water resources/environmental engineering in 1989 from Kaduna Polytechnic. Career
Abba Kabir Yusuf started his career as a civil engineer and later ventured into politics, serving as the commissioner of the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Transport in Kano State. In 2019, he ran for the gubernatorial election in Kano State but was defeated. He contested the results in court, but the case was eventually dismissed.
In 2023, Abba Kabir Yusuf ran for the Kano State governorship again and was declared the winner. He was subsequently appointed as the Governor-elect of Kano State.
