Urum Kalu “UK” Eke began his professional journey in 1986 at Deloitte Haskins & Sells International, where he served as an audit senior/consultant for five years. He then transitioned to Diamond Bank Plc., where he spent nineteen years holding various roles, including branch manager, regional manager, divisional head, and executive director.
In May 2011, Eke joined First Bank of Nigeria Limited as an executive director, Public Sector (South), overseeing relationships with state and federal government bodies, as well as tertiary and health institutions in southern Nigeria. Notably, he was appointed as First Bank’s Chief Knowledge Officer in 2013.
Eke’s career reached new heights when he assumed the role of Group Managing Director of FBN Holdings Plc. in January 2016, succeeding Mr. Bello Maccido. During his tenure, he steered the organization until his retirement in December 2021.
