Chief Olusola Oke attended UNA Primary School, Ode-Ilowo, between 1961-1963. After dropping out of school at age 7, he became a professional fisherman until he returned to complete his primary education at Methodist Primary School, Ilepete, in 1973. He later attended Methodist Secondary Modern School, Ilepete, and Ilaje Grammar School, Atijere, where he obtained his WAEC in 1980. He pursued a degree in Law at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), graduating in 1986.

After being called to the Nigerian bar in 1987, Chief Olusola Oke joined Olufemi Lanlehin and Co., a law firm in Ikeja, Lagos. In 1988, he established his own law firm, Olusola Oke and Associates, in Okitipupa. His firm expanded, with its headquarters later located in Abuja. Throughout his legal career, Chief Olusola Oke has been recognized for his outstanding delivery and commitment to societal re-engineering through law.

Chief Olusola Oke’s political journey began in 1991 when he was appointed Local Government Legal Adviser of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). He later served on the Board of Internal Revenue in Ondo State from 1991 to 1992. In 1992, he was elected as a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ilaje/Ese-odo federal constituency. Chief Olusola Oke was appointed to the pioneer board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in 2000, where his team completed over two hundred and fifty projects. He also served as the Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) in 2004. Additionally, he held various appointments, including serving on the National Political Reform Conference in 2005 and as a member of the Presidential Technical Committee on Niger Delta in 2007. Chief Olusola Oke ran for governorship in Ondo state in both the 2012 and 2016 gubernatorial elections.
