Tyla Laura Seethal was born on 30 January 2002 in Edenvale, East Rand to parents Sharleen and Sherwin Seethal. Her family is Coloured, with Indian, Zulu, Irish, and Mauritian ancestry. She was raised in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
