Prabhas was born on 23 October 1979 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, into a Telugu family. He is the youngest of three children, with an elder brother, Prabodh, and an elder sister, Pragathi. His parents are film producer Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju and Siva Kumari. Prabhas is also the nephew of Telugu film actor Krishnam Raju. His family originates from Mogalthur, near Bhimavaram in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Prabhas completed his schooling at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai and DNR High School in Bhimavaram. He pursued his intermediate education at Nalanda College in Hyderabad and obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree from Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the Satyanand Film Institute in Visakhapatnam.

Prabhas made his acting debut in 2002 with the drama “Eeswar” and gained his breakthrough with the action romance “Varsham” in 2004.
