In December 2007, Hauser performed the Kol Nidre with the Metropolitan Sinfonia at a Gala Tribute Concert for Mstislav Rostropovich. He has recorded as a solo artist, including an album featuring Christopher Ball’s First Concerto for Cello. In 2010, Hauser’s YouTube channel, launched in 2009, became hugely popular, particularly after a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” with Luka Šulić went viral.
