Born 25 October 1972, Mazi Afam Osigwe hails from Anambra State, Nigeria.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
He attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha, studied law at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, and was called to the Bar in 1999. He became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2020.
He also earned LL.M degrees from the University of Jos and the Centre for International Legal Studies in Austria, in collaboration with Lazarsky University in Poland.
CAREER
Osigwe began his legal career at Chike Chigbue and Co in Abuja in 1999 and founded his own firm, LAW FORTE, in 2002. He was appointed a Notary Public in 2006 and earned a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Keble College, Oxford, in 2010.
Mazi Afam became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) in 2011 and has served as counsel and arbitrator in various disputes.
He was the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch, and served as General Secretary of the NBA from August 2014 to August 2016.
