Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan, widely known as Aamir Khan, was born on March 14, 1965, in Mumbai, India, into a family with deep roots in the Indian film industry. His father, Tahir Hussain, was a film producer, and his mother, Zeenat Hussain.
Aamir is the second of four siblings, with a younger brother, Faisal Khan, and two sisters, Farhat and Nikhat Khan.
His paternal grandfather was a schoolteacher from a Pashtun zamindar background with roots in Herat, Afghanistan.
