Olawale Ọlọfọrọ, known professionally as Brymo, was born on May 9, 1986, in Okokomaiko, Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria. Brymo’s father is an Awori – carpenter, and his mother is an Egun – petty trader. As the only child, he grew up immersed in both Islamic and Christian traditions and memorized the entire Qur’an at an Islamic school.

Brymo began his education at Aganju Aka Primary School and later moved to Japual Primary School. He completed his secondary education at Ajangbadi High School in Lagos, graduating in 2003. Brymo’s musical career began in 1999 while he was still in secondary school. His debut album, Brymstone, was released in 2007, followed by The Son of a Kapenta in 2012.
