Early Life and Education
Senator Crystal Asige attended Mombasa Academy where she obtained Primary O level in 2000 and O levels in 2005. She obtained an A levels from the same institution in 2007.
Senator Crystal Asige holds a BA (Hons) in Film Studies and Drama from University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom in 2010.
Career
Senator Crystal Asige started her career as a Production Management Assistant, BBC, Bristol. She worked at BBC from 2011 to 2013.
In 2013, she became a Production Manager, View Finder EPZ and later a Video & Multimedia Producer at Adam Smith International in 2015.
Senator Crystal Asige became the Program Manager at Open Institute and a Board Member, Amnesty International, Kenya in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
In 2022, Senator Crystal Asige became the Vice Chairperson, Glaucoma Society of Kenya.
Senator Crystal Asige founded the first visually impaired person support group at Lighthouse for Christ Eye Centre, Mombasa. She is a Senior Senator, 4th Senate, 13th Parliament of Kenya (representing persons with disabilities and special interest groups)
