Born on November 23, 1961, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, he hails from Oru-Ijebu, Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State, Nigeria.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

He completed his basic and secondary education in Ogun State. Afterward, he attended Teacher’s Training College in Oru, where he obtained a Grade II Certificate. His love for acting led him to pursue further studies in Theatre Arts at the prestigious University of Ibadan in Oyo State.

CAREER

Odule’s foray into acting began in the early 1980s when he joined the Oloko Theatre Group, a drama troupe led by his mentor, Mukaila Adebisi. He made his debut in the film industry in 1986, and his big break came with the Yoruba movie Ti Oluwa Ni Ile. This role propelled him into the limelight and established him as a household name in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Throughout his career, Dele Odule has been a prolific actor, starring in more than 200 films .Notable films include Kori Koto (which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards), Ayo Ni Mofe, and Olorire.

He currently serves as the President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN). In recognition of his influence and popularity, Dele Odule was appointed an ambassador for Airtel Nigeria, a leading telecommunications company.
