His tenure as a consultant for UNICEF from 2005 to 2012 involved overseeing energy solutions for healthcare cold chain systems in 10 Nigerian states.
In 2017, Yilwatda was appointed as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Benue State with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a position that underscored his dedication to Nigeria’s democratic processes.
