Born on August 6, 1952, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Daisy was born into a large family as the fourth of eight children and spent much of her early life with an aunt who was married to a police officer.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

She attended government secondary school in Benin City before enrolling at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where she graduated with a degree in Law in 1976. The following year, in 1977, she was called to the Nigerian Bar.

CAREER

Daisy began her career as a State Counsel with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice as part of her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) commitment. Following this, she served as legal counsel for the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria.

Her work in the private sector began when she took on the role of Executive Assistant at Nigerian Acceptances Limited (NAL), a leading merchant bank in Nigeria, from 1977 to 1978. In 1982, she joined the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where she served as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser for a decade, from 1982 to 1992.

Daisy’s political journey began when she was elected to the Nigerian Senate in 2003, representing Edo South.Her political ambitions continued beyond her initial tenure; in 2011, she re-contested for a Senate seat, though she was not re-elected.
