Orbih, a respected political figure in the old Bendel State. After graduation, he ventured into business and worked in various sectors, including managing his father’s hotel in Auchi, Edo State. He later expanded his business interests, including a role in the cement industry in Port Harcourt, which further enhanced his entrepreneurial profile.

Orbih’s political journey began in the late 1990s. In 1998, he ran for the position of Deputy Governor under the All Peoples Party (APP) in Edo State but was unsuccessful. In 2003, he joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where he became closely aligned with prominent political figures like the late Chief Tony Anenih and Chief Lucky Igbinedion.

In 2008, Orbih was elected as the Chairman of the PDP in Edo State. He served in this capacity for 11 years, leading the opposition party in the state and advocating for the rights and development of the people of Edo. His leadership was marked by his active opposition to the ruling government and his efforts to promote the interests of the people in Edo State. In 2019, he was appointed the National Vice-Chairman of the PDP for the South-South zone, a position he still holds today.

Though the suspension was later lifted, the incident led to tensions within the party. Orbih has also been involved in other disagreements over the direction of the party, particularly within the South-South zone.

He is a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of St. Mulumba.
