Educational Background

Kelvin Alaneme began his early education at All Saints Primary School. He later attended Federal Government College, Nise, for his secondary education. In 2011, he earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Career

Alaneme started his professional journey as a medical doctor but later diversified into entrepreneurship and music. In 2014, he made his debut in the music industry with the release of his single Ala Africa. Over the years, he released more songs, culminating in his first extended play, Survivors, in 2016. This was followed by projects such as Odogwu and Nobody Better.
In 2020, following the Nigerian government’s response to the #EndSARS protests, Alaneme founded CareerEdu. The platform was designed to help Nigerians explore educational and relocation opportunities abroad, particularly in the UK. Through CareerEdu, he has facilitated study and work placements for many individuals seeking better opportunities outside Nigeria.
Controversies

In March 2025, Alaneme was the subject of a BBC investigative report that alleged he was involved in misleading Nigerian students regarding education and immigration pathways to the UK. The report claimed that some consultants, including Alaneme, were exploiting loopholes in the UK’s immigration system, charging exorbitant fees for services that did not guarantee legitimate academic placements or job opportunities.
Further accusations in the documentary linked Alaneme to fraudulent UK care job placements, alleging that he was part of a scheme charging applicants up to $13,000 for work visas under false pretenses. Secretly recorded conversations purportedly showed him discussing job placements that did not exist.
In response, Alaneme strongly denied the allegations, stating that CareerEdu does not engage in fraudulent activities. He maintained that the company only connects job seekers with legitimate recruiters and does not employ care workers directly. He also announced his intention to sue the BBC for defamation, asserting that the report misrepresented his work.
