Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., professionally known as Shatta Wale, was born to Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr a politician, businessman, and legal practitioner and Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. From a young age, Shatta Wale showed interest in the arts.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Shatta Wale attended Seven Great Princes Academy in Dansoman, Accra, where he began acting in the popular Ghanaian drama series By the Fireside at the National Theatre. He later continued his education at Winneba Secondary School, where he obtained his secondary school certificate.
CAREER

Shatta Wale began his music career under the stage name Bandana, releasing the hit “Bandana from Ghana” in 2004. Soon after his release, he had another encounter with the police at a celebrity meeting. Shatta Wale walked out after claiming he was treated unfairly for being restricted from using his phone, unlike his peers.
