Educational Background
Michael Morales began his athletic journey early in life. He was trained in judo by his mother, who was his first coach, from the age of five. By the time he was 10, he had moved on to wrestling and won several youth competitions. At 14, he started training in mixed martial arts at VÃctor Vallejo’s academy in Machala.
Career
Michael started his MMA career in Ecuador while also working in a naval boat factory. In 2021, he moved to Mexico to train at Entram Gym in Tijuana and signed with Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC).
His big break came on September 21, 2021, when he won a fight on Dana White’s Contender Series, which earned him a UFC contract.
He made his UFC debut on January 22, 2022, at UFC 270, knocking out Trevin Giles in the first round. He then defeated Adam Fugitt via TKO in July 2022.
