Educational Background

Although football was his first love, his academic struggles and the lack of success on the field led him to switch paths and follow his family’s wrestling legacy.
Career

Jey Uso began his wrestling journey under the guidance of his father, Rikishi. He officially debuted in 2007 and joined WWE’s developmental brand Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in 2010. Alongside Jimmy, the duo became known as The Usos and quickly rose through the ranks. Together, they won 8 WWE Tag Team Championships, holding the longest tag title reign ever at 622 days.
Between 2021 and 2023, Jey was a key member of The Bloodline, a dominant faction led by Roman Reigns. After stepping into singles competition, Jey gained even more recognition. In 2020, he had a highly praised feud with Reigns and later won the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2021.
In 2024, he won the Intercontinental Championship, his first singles title. Then, in 2025, Jey won the Royal Rumble, and later defeated Gunther at WrestleMania 41 to become the World Heavyweight Champion, his biggest career moment so far.
Controversies

Jey Uso has mostly stayed away from serious scandals in recent years. However, like many wrestlers, he has had a few brushes with controversy earlier in his career, including some off-screen incidents that WWE has addressed over time. Still, his wrestling talent and recent run as a solo star have helped him maintain a strong fan base and a positive reputation.
