Educational Background
Green graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in business. He later earned a master’s from the University of Southern California and went on to get his medical degree from Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Career
After West Point, Green began his military career as an infantry officer. He later became a flight surgeon and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was part of Operation Red Dawn the mission that led to the capture of Saddam Hussein and later wrote a book about that experience. He left the military in 2006 and went into healthcare business, leading a company that staffed emergency rooms.
Green entered politics in 2012 when he was elected to the Tennessee Senate.
