Educational Background

Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan started his formal studies at the School of Arabic Language Teaching in Kano, commonly known as S.A.S Kano, where he improved his Arabic and deepened his knowledge of Islamic teachings.
He later attended the Islamic University of Madinah, where he earned his first degree while living there with his family. His search for knowledge took him further to Pakistan, where he obtained a Master’s degree and also worked as a teacher for several years. After returning to Nigeria, he completed his Ph.D. at Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. He currently serves as a Professor at Al’Kalam University, Katsina.

In October 2025, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman who also serves as the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of financial misconduct related to the 2025 Hajj operations.
Reports claim that the investigation involves over ₦50 billion allegedly misused during the exercise, including questionable spending on tents, housing, and travel allowances for officials’ spouses. Prof. Usman appeared at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja and was later released on administrative bail. The investigation is still ongoing.
