He is the third child of the legendary Nigerian comedian James Iroha, creator of the iconic TV comedy The New Masquerade, in which he portrayed the character Gringori.

Uchechukwu began his formal artistic journey in 1990, studying sculpture at the Art Academy of the University of Port Harcourt, where he earned his degree in 1996.
