Nnamdi Asomugha was born on July 6, 1981, in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States, to Nigerian Igbo parents, Godfrey and Lilian Asomugha. Although born in Louisiana, he was raised in Los Angeles, California, and frequently visited Nigeria during his childhood.
