OYEYEMIKA ADEBOYE BIOGRAPHY

Oyeyimika Adeboye was born into the Odutola family, a prominent Nigerian industrial family. She is one of the children of the late Chief Timothy Adeola Odutola, a pioneer Nigerian industrialist.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Adeboye studied at University College Cardiff, Wales, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accountancy in 1986. She subsequently pursued executive management and leadership training at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland, between 2000 and 2007. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
CAREER

Adeboye began her professional career in the United Kingdom with Midgley Snelling & Co., Chartered Accountants, where she trained as an articled clerk and qualified as a chartered accountant. She later worked with the Nigerian practice of Arthur Andersen & Co. after returning to Nigeria. In 1994, she joined Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, the Coca-Cola bottling company, as Director of Finance. During her nearly 13 years with the company, she rose to become Chief Financial Officer, gaining extensive experience in finance, strategy and business operations.
Adeboye joined Cadbury Nigeria Plc in November 2008 as Finance and Strategy Director, West Africa. She served on the company’s board for more than a decade before being appointed Managing Director on April 1, 2019. Her appointment made her the first female Managing Director in Cadbury Nigeria’s history. In July 2019, she was also appointed Cluster Director, Mondelēz International West Africa, with responsibilities spanning the company’s operations in the region.
During her leadership, she became known for emphasizing talent development, operational performance, inclusion and long-term business growth. She also mentored women through organisations such as Women in Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ) and Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR).
