Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya is a Nigerian pastor. He is the founder and general overseer of Mountain of Fire Ministry. Dr Daniel Olukoya was born on 15 July 1957 in Akure, Ondo State. His father was a police officer and a pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) while his mother was a businesswoman.

Educational Background
Dr Olukoya started his basic education at St. John’s CAC Primary School, Akure but later moved to St. Jude’s Primary school, Ebute metta, Lagos State.
He proceeded to obtain his SSCE certificate from Methodist Boys’ High School (MBHS), Broad Street, Lagos, graduating top of his class.
In 1976, Dr Olukoya gained admission to study microbiology at the University of Lagos. He graduated with first class honors in 1980.

He was offered scholarship to further his education at University of Readings, United Kingdom. He studied molecular genetics obtaining a PhD.
Career
Dr Olukoya returned to Nigeria to work with Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba. He is reputable in the study of African genetics with over 70 paper publications.
He taught genetics and worked as an external examiner in so many Nigerian universities.
Daniel Olukoya founded Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation. Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation is a non government organization aimed at empowering Nigerians with modern and contemporary laboratory skills in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
He has also presented papers on genetics at many conferences and seminars within and outside Nigeria.

In 1989, Dr Olukoya founded Mountain of Fire Ministry in Yaba, Lagos. Mountain of Fire Ministry is a charismatic and Pentecostal church with emphasis on emphasis on deliverance ministry and prayers against the works of demonic forces.
He started Mountain of Fire Ministry in his room but expanded to have over 300 branches across the country and beyond as the church grew and had more members.
Dr Olukoya acquired a site at an abandoned slum around the University of a Lagos where he built the Mountain of Fire International headquarters.
In 2015, he founded Mountain Top University, a Private University located at Makogi Oba, Ogun State, Nigeria

Today Mountain of Fire owns Prayer City, a large expanse of land along Lagos -Ibadan expressway. In the land stands an auditorium with 100,000 members capacity used by the church during special prayers and activities.
