Educational Background
While in high school, Charlie Kirk was already active in politics, volunteering for Republican Senator Mark Kirk’s campaign. After graduation, he briefly attended Harper College, but dropped out to focus on political activism full-time, encouraged by Tea Party activist Bill Montgomery.
Career
In 2012, at just 18 years old, Kirk launched Turning Point USA, a conservative student organization that grew quickly with support from wealthy donors like Foster Friess. In May 2021, Kirk married Erika Frantzve, a businesswoman, podcaster, and former Miss Arizona USA 2012. They had two children together, a daughter, born in August 2022 and a son, born in May 2024
Though originally described as secular in his early career, Kirk later embraced Christianity and became closely tied to evangelical movements. He identified with the Calvary Chapel Association and openly supported Christian nationalist causes.

The FBI quickly launched an investigation and released photos of a person of interest. His death sparked reactions across the political spectrum. Donald Trump ordered U.S. flags flown at half-staff, while leaders from both parties condemned the violence.
