Not much has been publicly shared about Andrade’s formal education, as he started wrestling at a very young age. His early years were spent training and competing in lucha libre, learning directly from his father and other family members who were already established wrestlers.
Career

Andrade grew up surrounded by wrestling. His grandfather wrestled as El Moro, while his father was known as Brillante. Andrade began his career under the name Brillante Jr. before moving to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as La Sombra. During his time there, he captured several championships, including the CMLL Universal Championship and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship in Japan.
He also co-founded the popular stable Los Ingobernables.
In 2015, he signed with WWE, where he was rebranded as Andrade “Cien” Almas in NXT. He went on to win the NXT Championship and later became United States Champion on the main roster under the shortened name Andrade.
After leaving WWE in 2021, he joined AEW as Andrade El Idolo, wrestling there until December 2023. In early 2024, he returned to WWE, winning the WWE Speed Championship in June. Andrade left WWE again in September 2025.
