Educational Background

Omisore started his education at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic School, Ile-Ife, and then went to St. John Grammar School, also in Ile-Ife. He studied at Federal Polytechnic Owo before moving to the UK, where he earned a diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the Technology College, Reading.

Career

Omisore began his political career in 1998, joining the Alliance for Democracy (AD) during Nigeria’s transition from military rule. In 1999, he became Deputy Governor of Osun State under Governor Adebisi Akande, serving until 2003.
He was later elected as Senator representing Osun East from 2003 to 2011, serving two terms and holding important roles such as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee. After leaving the Senate, he contested for the governorship of Osun State in 2014 and 2018 but did not win.
In 2021, Omisore joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and became the party’s National Secretary. He resigned from this position in May 2023 amid internal party disputes.
