Ugochukwu grew up in Rennes, where he combined his basic education with football training. Ugochukwu began his football journey at Stade Rennais (Rennes). He made his professional debut on 25 April 2021 in a Ligue 1 match against Dijon, coming on as a substitute in a big 5 – 1 win. In August 2023, he moved to Chelsea after signing a long-term contract. He made his Chelsea debut in a Premier League game against Liverpool.
