How to reduce Belly Fat

Belly fat also called visceral fat is stored in your abdominal cavity. Both men and women are being affected by this. Belly fat mostly comes as a result of what we take in and failure to exercise our body to burn fat. Belly fat could result to other health issues aside making one uncomfortable.

For ladies, who are more concerned about their outlooks than the men, belly fat could affect their self esteem as well. To reduce belly fat, here are things you can do.

1. Avoid foods that contain transfats:

Transfats are created by pumping hydrogen into unsaturated fats, such as soyabean oil. It is found in some margarine and other spreads and often added to packaged foods. To reduce belly fat, stay away from products that contain transfat which are also listed as partially hydrogenated fats.

2. Avoid the intake of too much alcohol:

While you may not be able to completely stay away from alcoholic drinks, to reduce belly fat it is necessary that you cut down the amount of alcohol you consume.

3. Reduce the intake of sugary foods:

Sugar contains fructose that when consumed in excess can lead to type 2 diabetes, obesity and fatty liver disease. It therefore follows that, to reduce belly fat and fat in general, you must ensure to reduce the intake of sugary foods.

4. Eat high proteinous diet:

Protein has been proven to be a highly important nutrient for weight management. High intake of protein increases the release of the fullness hormone (PYY), which both decreases appetite and promotes fullness. To reduce belly fat, make a habit of eating foods such as eggs, meat, fish, beans, dairy products, etc.

5. Eat plenty of soluble fiber:

One of the functions of soluble fiber is that it absorbs water and forms a gel that helps slow down food as it passes through your digestive system. Soluble fiber helps you loose weight by making you feel full and reducing calories absorption. You can get soluble fiber from legumes, flax seeds, avocados, black berries, etc.

6. Do aerobic exercise:

This kind of exercise is designed to enhance one’s cardiovascular fitness. It helps to burn calories and improve health. In burning calories, belly fat is also reduced.

7. Reduce your stress level:

Stress can make you gai belly fat by increasing high cortisol which is a stress hormone which consequently increases appetite and drive abdominal fat storage. to reduce stress level, you should try to engage in pleasurable activities such as yoga. In addition to this, you must ensure to always get enough sleep.
