The Office of the State governor in Nigeria is limited to two four year term in office. According to contents101 the list of current governors in Nigeria has a total of 15 governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while the All Progressive Congress (APC) has a total of 20 governors. The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is represented in Anambra State.
To be eligible to run for Governor in Nigeria, you must be
- a Nigerian citizen by birth
- must be at least 35 years of age
- must be a member of a political party
- must be sponsored by that political party.
