Health Benefits Of Kola nuts
|Kola nuts come from the kola tree which is found in the rain forests of Africa. In some parts of Nigeria, it is an important traditional symbol that denotes acceptance and is mostly used in ceremonies. It is also used as a flavouring agent as well as additive in energy drinks and performance enhancers. The nut can be boiled to extract the kola and can also be grounded to a powder. Kola nuts contain high level of caffeine along with theobromine and kolanin.
Although, there are some benefits associated with the intake of kola nuts, however, it is not advisable to take often and regularly and it’s not good for people with high blood pressure due to their stimulant effect. Below are some of it’s benefits:

Kola nut is said to help digestion as they promote the production of gastric acid which increases digestive enzymes in the stomach. By improving digestion, it consequently reduces constipation, bloating, cramping and other gastrointestinal issues.
