He has fought and defeated many professionals boxers within and outside Nigeria including Côte d’Ivoire’s George Amuzu, George Amuzu, Jacob Lokossou, Djamiou Ekpesso, Franck Houanvoegbe, Kazzem Saka, Jamiu Animashaun amongst others.

He made his professional debut in December 2009 against Bamidele Alimi.

In February 2010, he fought and defeated Saheed Olayiwola.

In December 2020, he defeated Côte d’Ivoire’s George Amuzu by Knick our at t Ilaji Resort in Oyo State.

Death

Akeem Sidiku Dodo died on 30th January 2021 at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. According to reports, he had complications from the surgery he had earlier at the hospital. He was 37 years.
