Club Career
Paul Onuachu played for F.C. Ebedei, an Ogun State based football club before moving to Danish club FC Midtjylland on scholarship in 2012. He made his debut in a cup and later his league debut in December, 2012.
He signed a new three years contract with FC Midtjylland in June 2013 and later extended it for another three years in August 2015.
In Early 2015, Paul Onuachu was loaned to Vejle BK but returned to FC Midtjylland ahead of the 2015–16 season.
Paul Onuachu moves to Belgian club Genk in August 2019.
In 2021, he won the best player and the highest goalscorer award in Belgium courtesy of Pro League Awards.
26-year-old Paul Onuachu has won the Belgian Jupiler Pro League Player of the Season and Top Scorer award.
He scored 33 league goals in 38 league games including playoffs.

International Career
Paul Onuachu joined the Nigerian Under-23 team in February 2015. He was invited to join the Nigerian National team in March 2019.
On 26th March 2019, he made his debut in a friendly match between Nigeria and Egypt and scored his first goal for the Nigerian National team. His goal which was scored 10 seconds into the match was the fastest goal ever scored for Nigeria.
He was selected as one the 23 man squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations. Nigeria finished third place in the tournament.
