Career

Lekan Balogun worked briefly before enrolling for his PhD at Ahmadu Bello University. He lectured at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

He ventured into business and have served as the a member of board of director of several business across different sectors.

Lekan Balogun joined politics and registered with Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and later defected to Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP).

In 1999, Lekan Balogun was elected to represent Oyo Central in the Nigerian senate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He left the Nigerian senate in 2003.

He was the Mogaji to the Olubadan of Ibadan.
