Mr Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late singer, Osinachi who has been trending online for days has denied allegations of beating his wife to death saying he is innocent of the allegations of battering that have been raised against him by family and friends of the late singer.
Mr Peter Nwachukwu who spoke from police custody, revealed that his late wife, Osinachi had been ill since November last year.
He also claimed that he first took her to Federal Medical Center (FMC), and later to Gwagwalada General Hospital, and finally to National Hospital, where she took her last breath. However, he did not mention the nature of her illness.
The police it was learnt would drive the husband to their house to provide evidence of the hospitals he claimed to have taken Osinachi to for treatment and as such prove that he is innocent.
Meanwhile, an autopsy has now been carried out on Osinachi Nwachukwu’s corpse to ascertain the real cause of her controversial death which has put her husband in the public limelight and will prove he is innocent or not.
While the police awaits the autopsy test results, Mr Peter has been transferred to the force headquarters in Abuja for further interrogations.
