On the 14th of October 2022, a Federal High court in Yola nullified the candidacy of Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed as the gubernatorial aspirant of the APC in Adamawa. The court, in its ruling, declared that there will be no candidate for the APC in the state for the 2023 elections but said hoth petitioners and defendants are free to appeal the ruling.
She won the case at the Court of Appeal with a declaration that she had 430 votes, she won the APC Adamawa governorship primary outplaying Nuhu Ribadu, the Pioneer Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. he got 288 votes.
