SAS began his career in the oil and gas sector, working for Total and Mobil Oil. He later became a banker at the defunct Equatorial Trust Bank and Pacific Merchant Bank. He also ran his private company, Simplex Automation System, an IT solutions company, until he was appointed a senior aide to Governor Dapo Abiodun in Ogun State, Nigeria. From 2011 to 2014, SAS served in the cabinet of the former Ogun State Governor as Deputy (and later Acting) Chief of Staff.

He was the candidate for Action Congress of Nigeria, House of Representatives, Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda in 2009, and he contested Ogun Central Senatorial District in All Progressives Party (2015). SAS has attended several conferences, delivered papers on corporate governance, ICT, and management across four continents, and is a respected voice in the ICT industry.
