Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is a Nigerian politician who was born on October 27, 1967. He currently serves as the governor of Adamawa State, having been elected in 2019. Fintiri previously served as a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and was also the Speaker of the Assembly.

Educational Background

Fintiri attended Bachure Primary School in Jimeta, Adamawa State, and later proceeded to Adamawa State Polytechnic in Yola, where he obtained a National Diploma in Management. Career

He won the election after a by-election held on March 29, 2019, having secured 376,552 votes to defeat incumbent Bindo Jibrilla of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 336,386 votes.
