Career

André Onana’s career began in his youth when he joined Barcelona in 2010 after starting out at the Samuel Eto’o Foundation. However, due to being minor and extracommunitary, he was loaned to the youth team of UE Cornellà for one season in 2012.

He was then loaned again to the first team of UD Vista Alegre for another season. In early January 2015, it was announced that Onana would join Dutch club Ajax in July 2015, although the transfer was brought forward later that month.
