Wale Edun is a Nigerian economist and financial expert. He has a vast experience in. economics, public finance, international finance, merchant banking, and corporate finance.
Wale Edun started his career at Chase Merchant Bank, where he was the Head of Treasury and Deputy Head of Corporate Finance.
He also worked with Wall Street firms Lehman Brothers and Chase Manhattan Capital Markets Corporation in New York, USA for over 25 years.

In 1986, Wale Edun through the prestigious Young Professionals program was recruited to work with World Bank/IFC in Washington DC, USA,
At World Bank, Wale Edun oversaw economic and financial packages for several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In 1989, Wale Edun returned to Nigeria and co founded Stanbic IBTC Plc, an Investment Banking and Trust Company Limited. He served as an Executive Director.
In 1994, he founded Denham Management Limited.He is also the Chairman of Livewell Initiative, a health sector Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
In 1999, Wale Edun was appointed the commissioner for Finance under Bola Ahmed Tinubu as governor of Lagos state. A position he held till 2007.
