Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru began his academic journey at the University of Ilorin, where he initially studied Arabic and Islamic Studies. However, he faced a setback and was rusticated during his third year. Undeterred, he later gained admission to study Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, where he earned his LL.B.
