Evelyn Anite, also known as Evelyn Anite Kajik, is a Ugandan journalist and politician born on November 11, 1984, in Adakado Village, Koboko District, Uganda. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Evelyn Anite began her career as a radio presenter and worked at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation. She received death threats for her support of the removal of the age limit bill, leading to government-provided security. Anite’s statement about having “the numbers and the national army on their side” drew criticism from the Uganda People’s Defence Force.
